KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 9): Enra Group Bhd (KL:ENRA) has teamed up with a Chinese oil and gas services provider to jointly bid for an upcoming tender to provide a floating storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel in Southeast Asia.

In a bourse filing, Enra said its indirect wholly owned subsidiary Hexagon Energy Logistics Sdn Bhd had, on Sept 7, inked a pre-joint bidding cooperation agreement with China Offshore Engineering & Technology Co Ltd for the collaboration.

Under the non-binding agreement, the parties will negotiate on the scope of work, pricing and respective responsibilities upon receiving the official tender documents. These arrangements will be formalised in a separate definitive agreement.

China Offshore Engineering & Technology provides integrated solutions for the oil and gas, decarbonisation, renewable energy, deepwater mining and other ocean resources sectors.

Enra — formerly known as Perduren (M) Bhd — is involved in logistics/chartering related to the energy sector, besides engineering, operation and maintenance services. It is also involved in property development and maintenance, repair and overhaul services.

The group is linked to the late former prime minister Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi as his son, Tan Sri Kamaluddin Abdullah, is Enra’s president and group chief executive officer.

Kamaluddin is also the group’s largest shareholder, with an indirect 32.49% stake held through his vehicles Trillion Icon Sdn Bhd, Paling Terbilang Sdn Bhd, Carrillo Capital Sdn Bhd, ABK Capital Sdn Bhd and ABK Holdings Sdn Bhd, according to Enra’s latest annual report.

For the first quarter ended June 30, 2026 (1QFY2027), Enra’s net profit jumped to RM5.4 million from RM18,000 a year earlier, as revenue more than doubled to RM36.55 million from RM14.42 million.

Shares in Enra were last traded at 84.5 sen, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM143.4 million.
