KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 7): Coffee and tea extract powder blends manufacturer Butterfield FB Bhd posted a net profit of RM6.47 million for the first quarter ended July 31, 2026 (1QFY2027), ahead of its upcoming listing on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia.

The group recorded revenue of RM69.7 million for the quarter, with nearly 79% derived from the manufacturing of coffee extract powder blends and tea extract powder blends, according to a bourse filing.

The remainder of its top line came from the sales and trading of food ingredients and instant beverage premixes.

Malaysia was the largest contributor to its revenue at RM40.1 million, or 57.6% of total revenue, followed by Thailand at RM21.4 million, or 30.7%.

Taiwan, Indonesia and China collectively contributed the remaining RM8.2 million, or 11.7%.

“Looking ahead, our priorities are to grow sales of our tea extract powder blends, particularly matcha formulations,” Butterfield executive director and chief executive officer Lee Mong Khai said in a statement.

The company also plans to expand its production and storage capacity at its Bukit Minyak premises, establish a fourth manufacturing line, and pursue suitable strategic investments, mergers and acquisitions to meet future demand.

Butterfield is slated to make its debut on Bursa on Sept 15. Its initial public offering (IPO), priced at 48 sen per share, values the group at RM384 million, representing a price-earnings ratio of 12.6 times based on its earnings per share of 3.8 sen for FY2026.

Under the IPO, Butterfield is issuing 150 million new shares to raise RM72 million, while an offer for sale of 72 million existing shares by deputy chairman Yeap Kim Siew and executive director Yeap Chin Loon will raise RM34.56 million for the selling shareholders.

M&A Securities Sdn Bhd is the principal adviser, sponsor, underwriter and placement agent for the IPO.
