KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 7): CBH Engineering Holding Bhd (KL:CBHB) has secured an RM88.05 million contract to design and build a 275kV consumer landing station for a data centre in Selangor.

The engineering services provider's wholly owned subsidiary received the contract from Company A — a private company that is involved in providing infrastructure for hosting, data processing services and related activities.

CBH Engineering did not name the company in the bourse filing announcement, citing a non-disclosure agreement.

The contract commenced on Aug 13, 2026, and is scheduled for completion on May 12, 2027.

This is CBH Engineering’s second data centre-linked job in less than two weeks.

On Aug 26, the group announced it had secured a RM59.61 million work order for electrical infrastructure works at a data centre in Johor, also from a private company.

Together, the two contracts are worth RM147.66 million.

CBH Engineering shares have been on a steady climb since the mechanical and electrical engineering group was listed on the ACE Market in January last year.

Amid the share price rally, its managing director and major shareholder Cheah Boon Hwa disposed of a 5% stake comprising 94 million shares for RM76.14 million via his private investment vehicle Quay Holdings Sdn Bhd. The shares were sold through a direct business transaction on Aug 21 at 81 sen apiece.

The counter has surged 93% year to date and 163% over the past year. It closed four sen, or 4.4% higher, at 95 sen on Monday, giving CBH Engineering a market capitalisation of RM1.79 billion.

The group's net profit more than doubled for the second quarter ended June 30, 2026 (2QFY2026), rising to RM24.53 million from RM10.11 million a year earlier, as revenue rose 102.6% to RM120.93 million from RM59.68 million.
