KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 3): Hong Leong Bank has unveiled its latest invite-only statement piece for the bank's ultra affluent or high-net-worth clients — HLB opus — which it says represents Southeast Asia's first ceramic credit card.

Crafted from scratch-resistant high-tech ceramic under the Convego brand, the card offers world-class global privileges, premier travel rewards and bespoke experiences, according to HLB's managing director of personal financial services, Andrew Jong.

It is anchored by the new Visa Infinite Privilege tier — one of the most exclusive rewards tiers globally that is debuting for the first time in Malaysia — granting clients access to exclusive travel, dining, wellness and concierge services, including unlimited Plaza Premium Lounge access worldwide, Visa private club access, and immigration fast-track passes.

It also provides immediate status matches with elite hospitality and shopping loyalty memberships, namely Harrods Gold, ALL Accor+ Explorer Gold, and Banyan Voyager.

The new card also grants exclusive points conversion tier with Malaysia Airlines' Enrich, which can be supercharged with overseas spending. Upon payment of the annual fee, 60,000 Enrich points are immediately unlocked, while one Elite point is earned for every RM10,000 spent overseas.
