KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 2): Four more Bursa Malaysia-listed companies have disclosed the resignation of TGS TW PLT as their external auditor, bringing the number of listed companies known to have been affected by the auditor's departure over the last two days to at least 14.
The latest companies are ACE-listed Verdant Solar Holdings Bhd (KL:VERDANT) and CBH Engineering Bhd (KL:CBHB), and LEAP-listed Total Dynamic Holdings Bhd (KL:DYNAMIC) and Bentley Music Group Bhd, according to separate Bursa filings on Wednesday.
All four cited the audit firm's internal portfolio review and resource-management considerations as the reason for the resignations, echoing the explanation given by nine out of the 10 companies that on Tuesday announced TGS TW's resignation as their external auditor.
Verdant Solar and Bentley Music Group said the resignation notices they received were dated Sept 1, while CBH Engineering and Total Dynamic Holdings said their notices were dated Aug 28.
The auditor's term of office at the companies will end in 21 days from the respective notice dates.
All four companies said their boards were not aware of other matters arising from TGS TW's resignations that needed to be brought to shareholders' attention, adding that replacements will be announced once the appointments are finalised.
