KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 1): Ta Win Industries (M) Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ta Win Holdings Bhd (KL:TAWIN), is slashing 39 jobs or 52% of its workforce.
According to the group’s bourse filling on Monday, the restructuring exercise is aimed at trimming costs, streamlining operations and enhancing its cost structure and overall financial performance to better align with current market demand.
The Melaka-based copper wire and rod supplier said the exercise will trigger a one-off restructuring cost that is expected to affect the group’s earnings ending June 30, 2027 (FY2027), before yielding long-term operational savings.
Ta Win stock remained unchanged at one sen on Tuesday's market close, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM36.72 million.
