KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 1): Selangor will hold its flagship International Business Summit alongside the annual EU-Malaysia Business Day in October.

The Selangor International Business Summit 2026, or SIBS 2026, is scheduled to take place from Oct 14 to Oct 17 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, according to state government’s investment promotion agency Invest Selangor Bhd.

SIBS 2026 is expected to catalyse industries, attract high-value investments, and drive sustainable technological advancement across the region, Invest Selangor said.

“Everything we are building, negotiating and facilitating through this summit is engineered to achieve one clear, defining goal: Selangor as the Asean Model State for Equitable Growth and Quality of Life for All by 2030,” said Ng Sze Han, Selangor's Executive Council member for investment, trade and mobility.

The Delegation of the European Union to Malaysia will also host the third EU-Malaysia Business Day on Oct 13 at the same venue.

Organised in collaboration with the Selangor government, Invest Selangor and the European Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia, the EU-Malaysia Business Day aims to advance business ties and further unlock investment opportunities involving the substantial EU business presence in Malaysia.

Selangor hosts more than 550 EU companies, generating over RM51 billion in an annual revenue. The event will highlight high-growth and high-value sectors such as advanced manufacturing, green transition, digitalisation and logistics, Invest Selangor noted.

Jozef Síkela, European Commissioner for International Partnerships, will deliver the keynote address, alongside senior Malaysian government officials.
