KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 28): PTT Synergy Group Bhd's (KL:PTT) fourth-quarter net profit rose 31% to RM36.16 million from RM27.65 million a year earlier, thanks mainly to a valuation gain.
Revenue for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 (4QFY2026), however, dropped 27% year-on-year to RM44.70 million from RM61.36 million amid fluctuations in project billing timing and progress recognition across key segments.
In a bourse filing on Friday, the industrial construction and automated logistics company said the higher net profit was primarily attributable to a gain arising from the valuation of its PTT Semicon Logistic Hub in Penang. This partially offset the impact of a lower gross profit during the quarter.
PTT Synergy said its construction segment remained its principal revenue contributor during the quarter, generating a revenue of RM43.51 million compared with RM58.98 million in 4QFY2025.
The segment recorded a loss before taxation of RM3.85 million, versus a profit before taxation of RM2.48 million previously, due to increased operating costs, particularly higher diesel prices, and the adverse impact of geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
No dividend was declared for the quarter.
For the full year, PTT Synergy's net profit more than doubled to RM80.11 million from RM39.98 million in FY2025. Revenue grew 29% to RM330.19 million from RM256.78 million, mainly driven by sustained earthworks and infrastructure project billing contributions in its construction segment.
Looking ahead, the group expects its construction and property development activities to remain supported by ongoing infrastructure projects and progress billings from its industrial space developments.
The company said expansion initiatives in its warehousing and logistics solutions segment, along with strategic property disposals, will continue to enhance long-term earnings visibility and asset monetisation strategies.
PTT Synergy's share price closed unchanged at RM1.40 on Friday, giving the company a market capitalisation of RM668.31 million.
