
KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 28): WCT Holdings Bhd (KL:WCT) has secured a RM600.9 million contract to build a 41-storey office tower at Tun Razak Exchange (TRX).
In a bourse filing on Friday, the group said the contract was awarded to its wholly owned subsidiary WCT Bhd by Pelangi Pasifik Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of TRX City Sdn Bhd, which in turn is wholly owned by the Minister of Finance Incorporated.
WCT said the project will be carried out in three phases.
The scope of the project includes civil and structural works, architectural works, mechanical, electrical and plumbing works, facade works, landscaping, external works and other associated works.
WCT added that construction is scheduled to start on Dec 1.
WCT shares fell half a sen, or 1.3%, to settle at 39 sen on Friday, valuing the group at RM608.3 million.
