KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 26): Life Water Bhd (KL:LWSABAH) on Wednesday reported a 23.8% increase in full year net profit on stronger sales of drinking water, and contributions from its sauces and condiments business.
Net profit for the year ended June 30, 2026 (FY2026) rose to RM37.15 million from RM30.02 million, the group said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia. Revenue grew 19.9% to RM207.31 million from RM172.98 million.
“The increase in revenue was mainly attributable to higher sales volume and the revision in average selling prices of drinking water during the quarter, supported by seasonally stronger demand during the hot weather period and increased distribution activities in certain regions,” said Life Water.
The company declared an interim dividend of 1.8 sen per share, amounting to about RM8.52 million. The dividend will be paid on Nov 13, with an entitlement date of Oct 16.
Life Water said it recorded higher earnings in the fourth quarter amid increased drinking water sales following the expansion of production capacity at the Sandakan Sibuga Plant 1, completed in June 2025. The company also raised its average selling prices for drinking water in May 2026.
For the fourth quarter (4QFY2026), net profit increased 21% to RM10.95 million from RM9.05 million while revenue rose 28% to RM57.01 million from RM44.55 million.
Twinine, which Life Water acquired in July 2025, contributed RM2.31 million to quarterly revenue. The acquisition marked the company’s expansion into sauces and condiments.
“Looking ahead, the group will continue to strengthen its core beverages business by optimising production capacity, improving operational efficiencies and expanding its distribution and market presence. The ongoing integration of Twinine will further support the group's expansion beyond beverages into sauces and condiments,” said Life Water in the filing.
The company is also proposing to acquire a 90% stake in the Hung Tai Group, which would further expand its consumer products business. Following completion, it expects to explore potential efficiencies in procurement, logistics, warehousing and distribution.
Life Water said it remains mindful of cost pressures, including fluctuations in freight, packaging and polyethylene terephthalate resin prices, as well as higher electricity costs.
At Wednesday’s market close, Life Water’s shares were up six sen or 3.9% at RM1.60, valuing the company at RM757.1 million.
