KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 24): Geohan Corp Bhd (KL:GEOHAN) has secured a RM37 million contract from a unit of Chin Hin Group Property Bhd (KL:CHGP) for earthworks, piling, and substructure works for a high-rise residential development in Segambut, Kuala Lumpur.
Geohan’s wholly owned unit, Geohan Sdn Bhd, secured the contract from Chin Hin Property (Segambut) Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned unit of Chin Hin Group Property, on Monday, according to a bourse filing.
The job, which will commence on Sept 1, is expected to be completed by end-August 2027.
The latest contract raises Geohan’s year-to-date contract wins to about RM250 million, progressing towards its 2026 target of RM550 million, the group noted.
Its outstanding order book, meanwhile, now stands at RM457 million.
“These progressive billings are expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings in FY2027,” Geohan said in a separate statement.
For the second quarter ended June 30, 2026, the group posted a net loss of RM970,000 on a revenue of RM121.82 million, as higher building material prices ate into its margin.
“While Geohan remains cautious amid prevailing industry headwinds, the opportunities secured over the past few months, together with a growing pipeline of emerging projects, have strengthened our optimism and confidence in the outlook ahead,” Geohan managing director Lee Kim Seng said.
Shares of Geohan ended unchanged at 26.5 sen on Monday, valuing the group at RM114.44 million.
