KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 24): Smart city integrated system and solutions provider ITMAX System Bhd (KL:ITMAX) is looking to broaden its service offerings and expand its geographical footprint, as it reported record second-quarter net profit, while revenue came in at record highs.

Its net profit for the three months ended June 30, 2026 (2QFY2026) jumped 30.1% to RM30.01 million from RM23.07 million for 2QFY2025, as revenue grew 28.3% to RM75 million from RM58.46 million — driven by higher contribution from its digital infrastructure solutions.

Topline from digital infrastructure solutions jumped 42.3% to RM56.66 million, its bourse filing showed.

For the cumulative six months, the group's net profit climbed 27.3% to RM55.02 million from RM43.22 million, as revenue increased 29.1% to RM140.86 million from RM109.18 million.

No dividend was declared with the latest results announcement.

“We are pleased to deliver another record quarter as more of our investments and completed deployments progressively enter the monetisation phase, translating into stronger contributions to the group’s financial performance. This reflects the continued scaling of our digital infrastructure solutions segment, which remains our key growth driver while further strengthening our recurring revenue base and earnings visibility,” said ITMAX managing director and chief executive officer William Tan Wei Lun in a statement.

The group's growth is also expanding beyond its existing markets and applications, he noted, demonstrated by its entry into East Malaysia through the Kota Kinabalu smart city project and the Social Security Organisation's AI-powered Employment Portal, which "demonstrates our ability to extend our AI capabilities beyond smart city infrastructure into large-scale national digital platforms".

"These milestones reinforce the scalability and versatility of our technology capabilities and demonstrate our ability to deploy AI and integrated digital solutions across multiple use cases. Moving forward, we remain focused on supporting Malaysia’s digitalisation agenda, expanding our recurring revenue base and leveraging our technology capabilities to capture new growth opportunities,” Tan added.

The board of directors is cautiously optimistic that the group's future prospects remain favourable.

ITMAX shares closed unchanged at RM4.40 on Monday, valuing the company at RM4.57 billion. The stock is down nearly 8% year to date.
