KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 21): Aluminium extrusion manufacturer PA Resources Bhd (KL:PA) closed its financial year with a strong fourth quarter, as net profit tripled on the back of record quarterly revenue, fuelled by higher sales orders.
Net profit for the three months ended June 30, 2026 (4QFY2026) surged to RM18 million from RM6 million in the same quarter a year earlier, according to the company’s bourse filing on Friday. Earnings per share jumped to 1.2 sen from 0.4 sen.
Revenue for the quarter rose 25.2% to RM204.83 million — its highest quarterly revenue on record — from RM163.55 million.
The stronger quarterly performance was driven mainly by higher sales orders, while favourable foreign exchange movements also lifted operating profit.
Marketing and other expenses fell sharply to RM2,000 from RM10.88 million a year earlier, although administrative expenses rose to RM6.26 million from RM3.87 million.
PA Resources declared an interim dividend of 0.5 sen per share, payable on Oct 30. This brings total dividends declared for FY2026 to one sen per share.
For the financial year ended June 30, 2026 (FY2026), net profit rose 10.8% year-on-year to RM31.03 million, while revenue rose 19.9% to RM648.64 million.
Looking ahead, PA Resources said the RM1.31 billion renewal of its supply agreement with First Solar Inc, First Solar Malaysia Sdn Bhd and First Solar Vietnam Manufacturing Co Ltd provides continued earnings visibility and strengthens its order book.
The 18-month contract, which runs from July 2026 to December 2027, covers the supply of aluminium extrusion profiles used in photovoltaic modules.
Its ongoing capacity expansion is expected to further enhance production capabilities to support future growth. The group is also working with an unnamed strategic partner to expand into the aluminium system window and door business to diversify its revenue streams and broaden its product offerings.
“Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the board remains cautiously optimistic that the group will continue to deliver a stronger performance for FY2027,” it added.
Shares of PA Resources ended half a sen or 2.44% higher at 21 sen on Friday, valuing the company at RM309.76 million.
