SINGAPORE (Aug 21): Jardine Cycle & Carriage plans to sell a group of subsidiaries that gives it half its name, ahead of a proposed name change as part of the Jardine group's ongoing moves to remake itself.

JC&C plans to sell its Cycle & Carriage business in Singapore and Malaysia to PT Chandra Asri Pacific for S$265 million (US$207 million or RM843 million).

These businesses, which include car dealerships for brands such as Mercedes and Kia, are now held on its books at US$292 million as at June 30, and contributed some US$16 million in the most recent first half...(click here for the full story on theedgesingapore.com).
