
KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 20): Public Bank Bhd (KL:PBBANK), Malaysia’s third-largest lender by assets, said its Hong Kong-listed unit is planning to announce a corporate exercise on Thursday.
Trading in shares of Public Financial Holdings Ltd, a 73.2%-owned subsidiary listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, has been suspended for the announcement, the company said in an exchange filing without elaborating further.
Public Financial holds a commercial bank with 29 branches in Hong Kong and one branch in China, as well as provides personal financing under Public Finance and taxi financing under Winton Group, according to its website.
