KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 19): Amway (Malaysia) Holdings Bhd (KL:AMWAY) saw its second-quarter net profit more than triple, thanks to targeted product price adjustments and stronger sales of its cellular-health products.
Net profit for the three months ended June 30, 2026 (2QFY2026), surged to RM8.70 million from RM2.43 million a year earlier, according to its Bursa Malaysia filing on Wednesday. Quarterly revenue stood at RM271.71 million, slightly higher than RM266.69 million previously.
Amway said the stronger quarterly earnings came despite a cautious consumer-spending environment but were supported by targeted product price adjustments and stronger sales within its cellular-health product range.
Amway is one of the country's longest-established direct-selling companies that sells products spanning nutrition and wellness, beauty, personal care, home care and home technology.
The group declared a second interim dividend of five sen per share, unchanged from last year, payable on Sept 28.
For the first half of FY2026, Amway's net profit fell 8% to RM14.42 million from RM15.65 million in the same period last year while revenue declined 6% to RM533.79 million from RM569.98 million.
The group said market conditions are expected to remain challenging for the rest of 2026 as consumers continue to exercise caution in their spending.
"The group will continue to focus on the health and wellbeing space, with an emphasis on science-backed solutions that support healthy ageing and long-term wellbeing while adapting its business model to address evolving consumer preferences and market dynamics," it said.
Shares of Amway closed unchanged at RM4.46 on Wednesday, valuing the group at RM733.16 million. The counter has fallen about 9% year to date.
