KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 12): Sime Darby Property Bhd (KL:SIMEPROP) marked the topping-off ceremony for Kanopi Residences, its first high-rise residential development within the 350-acre Elmina City Centre, according to a press statement issued on Wednesday.

The 36-storey development, which has a gross development value (GDV) of RM299 million, has achieved a 90% take-up rate since its launch in 4Q2024 and is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2027.

Located on Persiaran Garcinia within the 6,500-acre City of Elmina masterplan, Kanopi Residences comprises 499 freehold units with open-plan layouts ranging from 550 to 1,200 sq ft. Selling prices start from RM590,888.

Sime Darby Property township development chief operating officer Appollo Leong said: “As Elmina City Centre continues to grow, Kanopi Residences reflects our vision of creating a 15-minute city, with an integrated urban environment where everyday living amenities such as commercial conveniences, schools, parks, accessibility networks are just 15-minute walk or cycle away”. 

Kanopi Residences is located near the 2,700-acre Bukit Cherakah Forest Reserve.

The project features an afforestation living concept with over 35 wellness-themed amenities and is situated roughly 300 metres from Elmina Lakeside Mall, with direct access to the Guthrie Corridor Expressway and the Damansara-Shah Alam Elevated Expressway.
