KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 10): Inta Bina Group Bhd (KL:INTA) said it has secured a RM115.65 million contract to build houses in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur, from a unit of Sime Darby Property Bhd (KL:SIMEPROP).

The contract, to build 61 units of three-storey houses and one electricity substation, will run for 30 months from Aug 24 to Feb 23, 2029, according to the builder in a bourse filing on Monday.

The contract was secured by Inta Bina’s wholly-owned unit Inta Bina Sdn Bhd from Sime Darby Property (KL East) Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned unit of Sime Darby Property.

This latest contract raises Inta Bina's year-to-date job wins to RM424 million, managing director Paul Lim noted, and its outstanding order book to about RM1.7 billion.

“In addition, the group continues to maintain a healthy tender pipeline, with approximately RM3.3 billion worth of submitted tenders, including those carried forward from last year, currently pending clients’ award decisions,” Lim said in a statement.

“We remain optimistic that these opportunities will support the group’s future growth and earnings visibility,” he added.

Shares of Inta Bina ended half a sen or 1.37% higher at 37 sen on Monday, valuing the company at RM233.72 million.
