KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 7): Nuenergy Holdings Bhd (KL:NHB) has secured a RM44.5 million contract from an undisclosed China-based construction and engineering firm to undertake mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) works for a Johor data centre landing station.
NHB said in a bourse filing on Friday that it accepted the contract as part of the company’s strategy to expand into the extra high voltage and transmission line sector. The project is also the company’s largest high-voltage project to date.
Work on the project is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2026.
The contract is not expected to have any material effect on NHB’s share capital but is expected to contribute positively to the company’s earnings and net assets for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2026.
NHB’s shares rose 3.9% on Friday to close at 67.5 sen, giving the company a market capitalisation of RM131.6 million.
