
KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 3): Mah Sing Group Bhd (KL:MAHSING) and S P Setia Bhd (KL:SPSETIA) have mutually agreed to extend the conditional period for Mah Sing’s proposed RM273.51 million land acquisition in Semenyih by three months, pushing the deadline to Nov 2, 2026.
According to their bourse filings on Monday (Aug 3), the conditional period was extended to enable the parties to fulfil their respective conditions precedent under the deal.
Notwithstanding this extension, both parties agreed to set Dec 28, 2026 as the final deadline for the settling of the balance purchase consideration once the sale becomes unconditional.
First announced on Nov 3, 2025, the deal involves Mah Sing acquiring 275 acres of freehold land from S P Setia's wholly-owned Petaling Garden Sdn Bhd. Mah Sing plans to use the land for its proposed RM1.7 billion M Legasi 2 township development.
Mah Sing's share price closed six sen higher at RM1.10 on Monday, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM2.82 billion. S P Setia shares closed half a sen higher at 94 sen, valuing the group at RM4.72 billion.
