KUALA LUMPUR (July 28): Ecomate Holdings Bhd (KL:ECOMATE) has won a RM13.4 million purchase order from Gamuda Bhd (KL:GAMUDA) for the renewal of a software licence subscription over a three-year period.

In a filing on Bursa Malaysia, Ecomate said its 60%-owned unit, Progressive Computer Systems Sdn Bhd, received a purchase order on Monday with the commencement date yet to be determined.

“The purchase order is for the subscription of software licences by Gamuda to ensure Gamuda continued use of the software for its engineering, design, and project-related activities,” Ecomate said.

The Muar-based ready-to-assemble furniture company reported a 95.7% drop in net profit to RM68,000 from RM1.47 million a year for the full financial year ended Feb 28, 2026 (FY2026), due to lower furniture sales in Asia (excluding Malaysia) and Australasia and higher operating expenses.

However, the decline in the furniture division was offset by stronger sales performance within the company's information and communications technology segment.

This was achieved on 11.69% higher revenue of RM56.48 million for FY2026, compared with RM50.57 million the previous year.

As at market close on Tuesday, Ecomate shares were up half a sen or 0.59% at 85.5 sen, valuing the company at RM612.2 million.
