KUALA LUMPUR (July 28): Ipoh-based bus builder Bus Cap Bhd (KL:BUSCAP) on Tuesday announced that it has appointed former Systech Bhd (KL:SYSTECH) executive director Teoh Keng Chang as its non-independent non-executive director, effective Tuesday.

Teoh was appointed to the board of Systech in January 2024 and resigned on Sept 17, 2025 due to personal commitments.

In a statement, Bus Cap executive director Bernard Ng Chong Yan said Teoh’s appointment will bring valuable experience in investments, business development and capital markets as the company enters its next growth phase.

The group expects his expertise in business transformation, cross-border investments and strategic partnerships to support its expansion in the EV and smart mobility sectors.

Bus Cap, which was recently listed on the ACE Market as the country's first pure-play bus builder, operates through its wholly-owned subsidiary Sin Hock Leong Coach Works Sdn Bhd.

The group is principally involved in the design, manufacture, assembly and maintenance of bus bodies, serving clients across Malaysia and Singapore.

At market close on Tuesday, the stock was up 3.64% at 28.5 sen, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM109.3 million.
