SINGAPORE (July 17): Singapore's non-oil domestic exports rose by 20.7% in June from a year earlier, government data showed on Friday, as electronics exports continued to surge on AI-related demand while non-electronics declined.
The figure was lower than the median growth forecast of 30% in a Reuters poll, and follows an annual increase of 38.4% in May, which was the largest rise in exports in 20 years.
Shipments rose to all of Singapore's top 10 markets, led by exports to Taiwan, the United States and South Korea, Enterprise Singapore said in a statement.
Electronics exports to Taiwan rose by 278.2% on an annual basis, and those to the US rose by 228.9%, the data showed.
On Tuesday, preliminary data showed that the economy grew by 5.7% in the second quarter from a year earlier.
