KUALA LUMPUR (July 15): SkyWorld Development Bhd (KL:SKYWLD) has officially marked its entry into the Vietnamese property market with the groundbreaking of SkySOLIS, its first residential development in Ho Chi Minh City.
According to a press statement on Wednesday, the project represents the first international milestone under the group's recently corporate-unveiled "SkyWorld 2040" long-term strategic roadmap, which outlines the developer's ambition to become one of Southeast Asia's top 30 property developers.
Located in Lai Thieu Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, SkySOLIS is designed to meet the growing demand for quality urban housing. The residential development integrates the firm's wellness-focused "Healthy Home" philosophy, which emphasises natural ventilation, abundant daylight, green spaces and wellness amenities.
As part of its commitment to building standards, SkyWorld is introducing Malaysia's Quality Assessment System in Construction (QLASSIC) framework — developed by the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia — to its operations in Vietnam. The framework enforces a disciplined approach to workmanship and construction quality to deliver long-term value for homebuyers.
Additionally, the developer is expanding its digital ecosystem outside Malaysia for the first time by introducing the SkyWorld Connects App to Vietnam. The integrated mobile application enables residents to track construction progress, receive official updates, manage property-related services and book shared facilities.
SkyWorld chief executive officer Lee Chee Seng stated that SkySOLIS represents the first step in expanding the firm into a regional property developer.
"This milestone demonstrates our ability to export a proven development model beyond Malaysia, built on quality, innovation and disciplined execution," Lee said. "As we advance our SkyWorld 2040 roadmap, we remain focused on creating sustainable communities that deliver long-term value while strengthening our presence across Southeast Asia."
