KUALA LUMPUR (July 14): Prism, the premium hospitality business arm of OYO, has entered into strategic partnerships with Malaysian property developers Ahmad Zaki Resources Berhad (KL:AZRB) and United Malayan Land Bhd (UMLand) to expand its footprint across the country.

According to a press statement on Tuesday, Prism will take over the management and operations of two distinct properties, strengthening its presence in both the urban and leisure hospitality segments under these agreements. The hospitality firm will operate the Sunday Residence Inn Cherating on the east coast of Malaysia in partnership with AZRB. Concurrently, its collaboration with UMLand involves the management of Sunday Hotel Near Petronas Twin Tower, a city-centre asset in Kuala Lumpur formerly known as Suasana Suites.

The strategic alliances aim to enhance the commercial performance, brand positioning and long-term asset value of the properties by integrating the developers' real estate infrastructure with Prism's technological framework, revenue optimisation tools and distribution network. 

Prism Malaysia country head Abhijeet Singh stated that the partnerships align with the company’s vision to serve as the preferred hospitality partner for real estate developers seeking to maximise the commercial value of their portfolios for owners, investors, and guests.

"These partnerships demonstrate how combining strong real estate expertise with Prism's operational excellence, technology, revenue optimisation and distribution capabilities can unlock the full potential of hospitality assets while creating sustainable value for owners, investors and guests," he said.

AZRB chief executive officer Wan Razali W Zulkifli expressed confidence that Prism’s commercial strategies and operational technology will position the Sunday Residence Inn Cherating to successfully meet evolving traveler expectations while optimising long-term asset yield. AZRB chief strategy officer Shahrulanuar Ishak added that the collaboration supports the group’s overarching strategy to work alongside experienced operators capable of driving sustainable operational growth. 

UMLand senior manager Alex Millisits noted that leveraging Prism’s hospitality capabilities will further enhance Sunday Hotel Near Petronas Twin Tower, support high-quality guest experiences and contribute positively to the growth of the wider Malaysian hospitality industry.
