KUALA LUMPUR (July 7): RNG Tech Bhd (KL:RESTNGO) has high hopes that Thailand, a country known for its traditional massages, will drive its growth going forward.
Thailand has been the fastest-growing market since 2025 for the company that operates vending massage chairs, accounting for nearly a quarter of the total revenue in the first three months of 2026. The target is to add another 200 new chairs in Thailand, the most in its expansion plan.
"In 2026, we will focus on growth in Thailand," chief financial officer Garry Shin Kok Leong told reporters after the company's ACE Market listing on Tuesday.
Listed on Tuesday, RNG Tech raised RM16.39 million from its initial public offering for expansion and operations. The company is run by managing director Sophia Tan while her husband Datuk Goh Cheh Yak is the founder of Gintell, which makes the massage chairs used by RNG Tech.
RNG Tech owns and operates more than 5,600 vending massage chairs across Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia and Brunei under the “Rest N Go” brand. The company also has 2,400-plus chairs deployed in Vietnam and the Philippines under licensing arrangements.
All in all, RNG Tech plans to deploy another 1,570 massage chairs across its existing markets. Shin said the company will prioritise high-performing locations such as shopping malls, hotels and transport hubs.
RNG Tech will also focus on strengthening operations in its existing markets of Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia and Brunei rather than expanding to new countries for now, he added.
The company made a net profit of RM3.36 million on revenue of RM16.89 million for the first quarter ended March 31, 2026 (1QFY2026), according to the company’s disclosure ahead of the listing.
