KUALA LUMPUR (June 30): Newly listed MM Computer Systems Bhd (KL:MMCS) has secured two contracts worth a combined RM24.54 million from an unnamed government-linked corporation (GLC) for the provision of server and network maintenance support services.
In a Bursa Malaysia filing on Tuesday, the ACE Market-listed IT solutions provider said its wholly owned subsidiary, Micro Technology Solution Sdn Bhd (MTS), accepted two letters of award dated June 30 from the customer.
The company identified the customer only as a Main Market-listed GLC involved in the generation, transmission, distribution and sale of electricity in Malaysia but said it was unable to disclose the customer's identity as consent had not been obtained.
The two contracts carry values of RM12.24 million and RM12.31 million respectively, inclusive of sales and service tax (SST), bringing the aggregate contract value to RM24.54 million.
Under the contracts, MTS will provide server and network maintenance support services over a three-year period from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2029, unless terminated earlier in accordance with the contract terms.
MMCS said the contracts are expected to contribute positively to the group's earnings per share and net assets per share throughout the contract period.
Shares in MMCS closed up 2 sen or 7.5% at 28.5 sen on Tuesday, valuing the company at RM161.6 million. Since its listing at 22 sen a share on June 11, the stock has climbed 29.5%.
