KUALA LUMPUR (June 29): Crescendo Corporation Bhd’s (KL:CRESNDO) net profit for the first quarter ended April 30, 2026 (1QFY2027) soared to RM135.74 million, or 16.07 sen per share, boosted by its data centre-linked land sales in Bandar Cemerlang Industrial Park (BCIP), Johor.

This represents a big leap from the RM5.2 million net profit notched a year ago, according to the Johor-based property developer's bourse filing.

Quarterly revenue jumped five times to RM317.87 million from RM65.06 million in 1QFY2026. Notably, its property development and construction operations recorded revenue of RM290.17 million and operating profit of RM174.62 million.

No dividend was declared for the quarter under review.

The group’s revenue is contributed by four segments — property development and construction segment (88.5%), services segment (7.03%), manufacturing and trading segment (2.96%) and property investment segment (1.49%).

As at April 30, Crescendo had a land bank of 2,426 acres in Johor.

Despite potential geopolitical and economic challenges, Crecendo said that it will monitor the market situation closely and implement appropriate measures, where necessary, to mitigate potential impacts on its operations, it said.

“The group will adopt a prudent approach by leveraging on its strategic land bank to develop properties that meet market needs and manage the rising cost,” it added.

As at market close on Monday, Crescendo shares were up one sen or 0.81% at RM1.24, valuing the company at RM1.05 billion.
