KUALA LUMPUR (June 29): Superlon Holdings Bhd (KL:SUPERLN) posted a 48.8% jump in net profit to RM3.25 million, or 2.05 sen per share, for the fourth financial quarter ended April 30, 2026 (4QFY2026).

Quarterly revenue, however, was marginally lower at RM31.69 million compared with RM33.54 million a year ago.

Superlon also declared an interim single-tier dividend of one sen per share for the financial year ending April 30, 2026 (FY2027), payable on Aug 21. The cash-rich thermal insulation solution maker paid a total dividend of three sen for FY2026.

The company attributed the earnings expansion to lower material costs and margin enhancement initiatives.

The drop in revenue was mainly due to weaker sales from the group's trading division, which was affected by softer market demand for copper. The manufacturing division accounted for 84% of group revenue and maintained stable sales during the quarter.

Gross profit margin expanded to 28.7% in 4QFY2026 from 26.6% a year earlier, supported by a more favourable product mix in the manufacturing segment, lower raw material costs and ongoing margin enhancement initiatives. The group also benefitted from higher other income and lower unrealised foreign exchange losses.

For FY2026, the company’s annual net profit edged up to RM12.46 million from RM12.38 million, even as revenue declined 2.3% to RM132.49 million from RM135.58 million.

On its outlook, Superlon said the international operating environment is expected to remain challenging amid global trade headwinds. It said demand will continue to be influenced by geopolitical tensions, logistics costs and raw material prices, although it expects domestic demand to remain supported by local consumption and development activities.

Shares of Superlon closed half a sen or 0.8% higher at 65.5 sen on Monday, giving the company a market capitalisation of RM104.8 million. The stock has declined about 9% over the past 12 months.
