KUALA LUMPUR (June 29): Handal Energy Bhd (KL:HANDAL), whose shares have been suspended from trading since May, has postponed the issuance of its latest annual report for a fourth time.

According to a bourse filing on Monday, the oil and gas service provider now expects to issue its Annual Report 2025, together with its audited financial statements for the financial period ended Dec 31, 2025, by July 17.

The new target is three weeks later than its previous deadline of June 26. Handal did not provide a reason for the latest delay.

Handal initially missed the prescribed April 30 deadline, resulting in the suspension of its shares from trading on May 11.

The company subsequently said it expected to issue the report by May 22, before pushing the target date back to June 12 and later to June 26.

Handal previously attributed the delay to additional time needed to finalise its audited financial statements after changing its financial year end from June 30 to Dec 31.

The change resulted in an 18-month reporting period covering July 1, 2024 to Dec 31, 2025. Handal said it would revert to a normal 12-month financial year ending Dec 31 thereafter.

Under Bursa Malaysia’s listing requirements, a listed issuer that fails to issue its outstanding financial statements within six months after the expiry of the prescribed deadline may face delisting procedures, in addition to any enforcement action by the exchange.

Handal has remained loss-making for 12 consecutive quarters. For the first quarter ended March 31, 2026, it posted a net loss of RM403,000 on revenue of RM5 million.

The company’s shares last traded at one sen, giving it a market capitalisation of about RM4.5 million.
