KUALA LUMPUR (June 26): Silver Ridge Holdings Bhd's (KL:SRIDGE) has announced the resignation of three board members as part of the telecommunication infrastructure installer’s succession planning and leadership transition.

Effective Friday (June 26), group managing director Datuk Khoo Yik Chou, deputy group managing director Syauqat Mohd Suhaimi and executive director Syakur Mohd Suhaimi have stepped down from their posts.

An announcement on their replacements has yet to be made at the time of writing.

Khoo is a major shareholder of Silver Ridge with a 19.369% stake. Syauqat and Syakur’s father, Datuk Mohd Suhaimi Abdullah, is a substantial shareholder of Silver Ridge with a 6.919% stake.

Khoo, 39, has served as group managing director since April 2024. He was first appointed to the board as a non-independent non-executive director in December 2020.  

Syakur, 39, has been on Silver Ridge’s board since March 2011, while Syauqat, 33, has been deputy group managing director since April 2024. Syauqat previously served as group managing director from January 2023.

Shares of Silver Ridge ended 10 sen or 35.09% lower at 18.5 sen, valuing the company at RM74.45 million.
