KUALA LUMPUR (June 24): LB Aluminium Bhd's (KL:LBALUM) fourth quarter net profit dropped 73.78% to RM1.88 million from RM7.18 million a year ago, mainly due to lower contributions from its aluminium segment.
Revenue for the quarter ended April 30, 2026 (4QFY2026) fell by 9.76% to RM226.13 million from RM250.59 million a year before, dragged down by lower sales volume in its aluminium segment, which was partially offset by higher contributions from the property segment.
LB Aluminium has proposed a first and final dividend of 2.5 sen per share, according to the group's exchange filing on Wednesday.
For the full financial year, LB Aluminium’s net profit increased by 52.74% to RM55.47 million from RM36.32 million in FY2025, lifted by higher contributions from the property segment and reduced operating expenses, which partially offset a lower sales volume in its aluminium segment.
This was despite a 2.5% decline in full-year revenue to RM1.04 billion from RM1.06 billion.
The group has two revenue segments, with the aluminium segment contributing 61.5% out of total revenue and the remaining property segment contributing 38.5%.
On prospects, the group said the aluminium segment incurred higher raw material costs due to recent volatility in global aluminium prices but a stronger ringgit against the US dollar has partially offset the increase in raw material costs.
Hence, the group will continue to closely monitor its operational costs and selling prices to preserve margins.
For the property segment, the group's existing projects such as PSV 1 Residence and PSV 2 Residence are expected to contribute positively moving forward, driven by the realisation of remaining work in progress and unbilled revenue from cumulative sales.
As at market close on Wednesday, LB Aluminium shares were unchanged at 49 sen, valuing the company at RM215.3 million.
