KUALA LUMPUR (June 23): LFE Corp Bhd (KL:LFE) and LFE Engineering Sdn Bhd managing director Kenneth Liew Kiam Woon has been elected as the president of Master Builders Association Malaysia (MBAM) for the 2026–2028 term.

According to a press statement Tuesday, the election took place during the 72nd MBAM Annual General Meeting and Council elections held on June 20.

Liew succeeds Tim Sekata Sdn Bhd’s Oliver Wee Hiang Chyn, who now assumes the role of immediate past president.

Liew, expressing his gratitude upon his election, said, "I look forward to working closely with all council members, members and industry stakeholders to advance the interests of the Malaysian construction industry and to navigate the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead".

Other newly elected executive office bearers include FBG Builder Sdn Bhd deputy president Datuk Seri Eric Kuan Khian Leng.

The newly elected vice presidents are Gamuda Bhd’s (KL:GAMUDA) Datuk Ubull Din Om, Crest Builder Sdn Bhd’s Eric Yong Shang Ming, Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd’s Richard Wong Kwan Song, Syarikat Pembenaan Yeoh Tiong Lay Sdn Bhd’s Yeoh Keong Yuan and IJM Corp Bhd’s (KL:IJM) Ng Eng Aan. 

Norwest Holdings Sdn Bhd’s Datuk Astaman Abdul Aziz was elected as secretary-general, while WCT Bhd’s Anthony Teoh Teik Thiam was elected treasurer-general.
