<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>KUALA LUMPUR (June 18): WCT Holdings Bhd (KL:<a href="/askedge/klse/9679" class="ce-stock" target="_blank">WCT</a>) said its joint venture in the United Arab Emirates has bagged a sub-contract worth 479 million dirham (RM529 million) to undertake construction works for commercial and residential buildings in Abu Dhabi.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>The construction and property development group's wholly owned unit WCT International Sdn Bhd, together with UAE-based Construction General Contracting House Ltd (CGCH), has accepted a sub-contract issued by CGCH for the Yas Living Main Works Package, according to a filing on Thursday.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>The project, owned and developed by Aldar Development LLC, involves the construction of commercial and residential buildings across two phases.</p></div><div class=inPageAd id=div-gpt-ad-inpage></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>The scope covers non-foundation structural works, architectural works, mechanical, electrical and plumbing works, as well as external works, WCT said. Foundation works, including piling and excavation, will be carried out by other contractors.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>The sub-contract works are expected to commence in the third quarter of 2026 and be completed within 972 days.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>WCT shares fell one sen, or 2.4%, to settle at 40 sen on Thursday, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM623.9 million.</p></div>
