
KUALA LUMPUR (June 15): Fertiliser supplier Agrobulk Holdings Sdn Bhd has emerged as a substantial shareholder in renewable energy solutions group Jentayu Sustainables Bhd (KL:JSB).
Agrobulk acquired 45.37 million Jentayu shares, or an 8.33% stake, via a private placement transaction on April 17, according to an exchange filling on Monday.
The shares are estimated to be valued at RM13.38 million at that time, based on Jentayu's closing price of 29.5 sen on April 17.
This move makes Agrobulk the second largest shareholder in Jentayu. Jentayu's controlling shareholders are Datuk Beroz Nikmal Mirdin, who has an indirect stake of 13.06%, and his wife Datin Nurhaida Abu Sahid, who owns a direct stake of 15.67%, according to previous filings.
The group’s other substantial shareholder is Lazarus Capital Partners LLC, which holds a 5.65% equity stake.
Agrobulk, meanwhile, is 61.42%-owned by Tang & Co Sdn Bhd, which is majority-owned by Lee May Lin.
Agrobulk is also the largest shareholder of renewable energy company NuEnergy Holdings Bhd (KL:NHB) with a 57.99% direct stake.
Shares of Jentayu closed flat at 25.5 sen on Monday, giving it a market capitalisation of RM138.8 million.
