KUALA LUMPUR (June 14): Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor has denied allegations circulating on social media linking her to the purchase of a US$13 million (RM52.7 million) luxury property in the US.
The post, accompanied by a video published on platforms including X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook, alleged that Rosmah, who is the wife of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, had in July 2025 directed and funded the purchase of a US$13 million mansion in New Jersey’s Margo Way, with their son-in-law Daniyar Kessikbayev recorded as the buyer.
It further alleged that the property was transferred in May 2026 to Daran Investments Capital Inc, a British Virgin Islands (BVI)-registered company, through a confidential declaration of trust, and claimed that businessman Tan Sri Daing A Malek Daing Rahaman was a shareholder of the company. Daing A Malek denied said allegations in a statement on Saturday (June 13).
In a statement on Sunday (June 14), Rosmah categorically denied all the allegations against her.
"At no time have I been involved, whether directly or indirectly, in the purchase, financing, transfer or ownership of any luxury property, including any property alleged to be valued at US$13 million, nor have I financed, facilitated or in any manner whatsoever arranged any such transaction on behalf of my son-in-law or any other individual or entity.
"The allegations purporting to implicate me in the use of shell companies, offshore financial structures or associations with any of the individuals or entities named in these videos are wholly without foundation, utterly false, and maliciously fabricated. They are unsupported by a single shred of credible evidence and represent nothing more than a calculated and deliberate campaign to defame me and to bring dishonour upon my family."
Rosmah said she has lodged a formal police report so that the relevant authorities can conduct a thorough and complete investigation into the individuals and any related party and accounts responsible for the creation and dissemination of this false, malicious and defamatory material.
"I am extending my full cooperation to the authorities and remain firmly committed to doing so. I further demand, in the strongest possible terms, that the operators of all relevant social media platforms take immediate and decisive steps to remove, disable and prevent any further circulation of these false and defamatory materials," she added.
