KUALA LUMPUR (June 11): Property developer Titijaya Land Bhd (KL:TITIJYA) will undertake the construction of 1,202 affordable housing units under the Rumah Idaman project, backed by the Selangor government.

The project will be carried out via its wholly owned subsidiary, NPO Builders Sdn Bhd, which has entered into a consortium agreement with PNSB Construction Sdn Bhd — a unit of Permodalan Negeri Selangor Bhd (PNSB), the state government’s investment arm.

The Rumah Idaman development, aimed at improving homeownership among the middle 40% (M40) and bottom 40% (B40) income groups, will be built on a 13-acre land.

A total of 240 units measuring 1,000 sq ft will be priced at RM250,000, while 962 units measuring 1,080 sq ft will be priced at RM295,000, said Titijaya in a statement on Thursday.

Titijaya group managing director Datuk Lim Poh Yit said the collaboration reflects Titijaya’s commitment to community development through the delivery of quality, affordable homes.

“With NPO Builders’ extensive experience in project management, we are confident that Rumah Idaman will further strengthen access to homeownership in Selangor,” he said.

For the third quarter ended March 31, 2026, Titijaya’s net profit more than tripled to RM5.59 million from RM1.56 million a year earlier, as revenue rose 41.5% to RM59.08 million from RM41.74 million, driven by its property segment.

The growth in the property segment was supported by contributions from ongoing projects, namely The Shore in Sabah, The Ria in KL Sentral, Seiring in Bukit Subang, and Zone Innovation Park 2 in Klang.

Shares of Titijaya closed unchanged at 21 sen on Thursday, valuing the group at RM281.07 million.
