<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>KUALA LUMPUR (June 3): Orkim Bhd (KL:<a href="/askedge/klse/5348" class="ce-stock" target="_blank">ORKIM</a>) has secured the renewal of a contract to provide marine transportation services for clean petroleum products to Petron Malaysia Refining &amp; Marketing Bhd (KL:<a href="/askedge/klse/3042" class="ce-stock" target="_blank">PETRONM</a>).</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>In a bourse filing on Wednesday, Orkim said its wholly owned unit Orkim Marine Sdn Bhd had accepted a letter of award from Petron for the renewal of an existing contract of affreightment.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Under the contract, Orkim Marine will provide marine transportation services for clean petroleum products within the Malaysia-Singapore range from June 1, 2026 to May 31, 2028.</p></div><div class=inPageAd id=div-gpt-ad-inpage></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Orkim said the contract includes an option for a further one-year extension, which is subject to mutual agreement between both parties.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>The contract value is based on cargo nominations issued according to Petron’s operational requirements and a schedule of agreed rates, Orkim said.&nbsp;</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Cargo volumes will depend on nominations made by Petron, therefore there is no fixed contract value for the agreement in the filing, it added.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Orkim’s shares closed down by two sen or 2.3% at 87 sen on Wednesday, giving&nbsp;the group a market value of RM870 million.</p></div>
