KUALA LUMPUR (May 25): Scicom (MSC) Bhd’s (KL:SCICOM) net profit for its third financial quarter surged nearly threefold to RM11.09 million from RM3.77 million a year ago, riding on robust operational volumes and contributions from BPO (business process outsourcing) projects secured.
The BPO and digital transformation provider’s revenue for the third quarter ended March 31, 2026 (3QFY2026) hit an all-time high of RM79.21 million, up from RM45.40 million a year ago, according to its bourse filing on Monday.
For the nine-month period, Scicom’s net profit more than doubled to RM34.62 million from RM16.16 million in the previous year’s corresponding period. This was backed by a 46.46% increase in revenue to RM222.83 million from RM152.15 million.
The group declared a third interim dividend of three sen per share payable on June 29, bringing its year-to-date dividend payout to nine sen.
Looking ahead, Scicom said revenue contributions from its fresh Gov-Tech pipeline are set to kick in progressively from the fourth quarter as implementation gets underway.
The group also noted that it is in the running for several shortlisted Gov-Tech tenders, which are poised to drive earnings into FY2027, subject to contract finalisation timelines.
‘’Despite external headwinds, Scicom is optimistic about its remaining quarter thanks to solid operational momentum and new contract execution, balanced against ongoing awareness of market risks and client timelines,’’ Scicom said.
Scicom shares closed down 20 sen or 10.87% to RM1.64 on Monday, valuing the group at RM582.9 million.
