KUALA LUMPUR (May 22): Farm Fresh Bhd (KL:FFB) said it may raise prices for select products in Malaysia and Singapore, even as earnings hit a new record-high in the recently-ended financial year.
Selling prices for its selected plastic-bottled products will rise by about 3% in Malaysia and around 10% in Singapore beginning June, the dairy company said in a statement. In the meantime, Farm Fresh has increased production of gable-top cartons to make up for the shortfall of plastic bottles.
Farm Fresh has also managed to source high-density polyethylene resin at higher prices from China, restoring plastic bottle supplies to pre-war levels, the company said.
On Friday, Farm Fresh reported that net profit rose 22% to an all-time high of RM129.61 million for the financial year ended March 31, 2026 (FY2026), driven by new product launches, wider distribution channels and expansion into overseas markets.
Revenue climbed 13.7% to RM1.11 billion, surpassing the RM1 billion mark for the first time since its listing in 2022. Domestic sales, in particular, climbed 20% thanks to new products, higher school milk programme sales, and stronger contributions from mini markets and e-commerce channels.
Farm Fresh also announced the acquisition of a Sabah ice cream company that produces ice cream under the Amelia brand. The transaction details were not disclosed.
The deal will provide immediate access to a distribution network comprising 25 trucks and about 3,500 freezers across Kota Kinabalu, Tawau and Inanam, the company noted.
“The group also plans to utilise the space in the Amelia factory to run a pasteurised line for the East Malaysia and Brunei markets,” Farm Fresh said.
For the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2026 (4QFY2026), net profit slipped 1.6% to RM27.91 million when compared to the same quarter a year earlier, as higher distribution expenses and staff costs linked to business expansion offset higher sales.
Revenue for the quarter rose 13% year-on-year to RM275.12 million. No dividend was announced.
By Friday’s midday break, Farm Fresh shares gained one sen or 0.4% to RM2.26, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM4.26 billion ahead of the results announcement. The stock is down 18% year to date.
