KUALA LUMPUR (May 15): Alliance Bank Malaysia Bhd (KL:ABMB) is taking part in Bank Negara Malaysia’s SME Stabilisation Relief Facility (SME SRF) to help SMEs facing temporary cash flow issues due to the ongoing Middle East conflict. Applications opened on Friday.
The bank in a statement said the applications for the SME SRF will be open until Dec 31 this year, provided the facility is not fully utilised by then. Eligible SMEs may submit their applications via its nationwide branches, its official website or through their relationship managers.
"Through the SME Stabilisation Relief Facility, we aim to inject timely liquidity and provide practical support to help businesses strengthen resilience, manage cash flow and meet financial commitments," said Alliance Bank group chief executive officer Kellee Kam in a statement.
"Beyond financing, we equip customers with digital solutions and advisory support, and encourage those facing financial pressures to reach out early to explore available relief options," he added.
Under the BNM SME SRF, eligible SMEs may obtain financing of up to RM750,000 at a rate of up to 3.75% per year, inclusive of guarantee fees, with financing tenure of up to five years.
Alliance Bank said the initiative complements its existing SME support ecosystem.
The bank offers various financing solutions to help businesses manage cash flow and continue operations, including SME Express Financing, which provides collateral-free funding of up to RM500,000 for working capital needs.
It also provides advisory support and digital services to help SMEs recover, adapt, and grow.
