KUALA LUMPUR (April 28): Alpha IVF Group Bhd (KL:ALPHA) said demand for assisted reproductive services remains resilient and is not directly affected by geopolitical conflicts, as the fertility specialist advances its regional expansion plans after posting a 4.6% rise in quarterly net profit.

Net profit for the third quarter ended Feb 28, 2026 (3QFY2026), increased to RM12.46 million from RM11.91 million a year earlier, according to the group's bourse filing on Tuesday. Earnings per share inched up to 0.26 sen from 0.24 sen.

Revenue rose 16.1% to RM47.12 million from RM40.60 million in 3QFY2025, driven by higher sales from local and China patients in its Malaysian centres. The revenue was principally derived from the provision of assisted reproductive services focusing on in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) treatments.

By geography, Malaysia remained the largest contributor, accounting for 90.1% of quarterly revenue at RM42.47 million, up from RM37.33 million a year earlier, while Singapore contributed 7.9% at RM3.75 million, rising from RM3.27 million, and Indonesia and the Philippines made up 1.0% and 0.93%, with contributions of RM471,000 and RM440,000 respectively.

No dividend was declared for the quarter.

Alpha IVF's net profit for the first nine months of FY2026 slipped 4% to RM39.74 million from RM41.39 million in the previous corresponding period, despite revenue growing 15.5% to RM146.52 million from RM126.84 million.

The group attributed the lower cumulative earnings to higher pre-operational costs arising from ongoing expansion plans.

Alpha IVF said newly established full-fledged IVF centres in Sabah and Manila have shown an encouraging start and are expected to contribute more meaningfully going forward.

The group is also developing new centres in Johor, Jakarta and Bali as well as Tuguegarao in the Philippines, though near-term earnings may remain affected by upfront costs until the centres mature and utilisation rates improve.

"With the progressive rollout of these new centres, the group is expected to achieve a stronger growth trajectory, further strengthening its position as a leading regional fertility treatment specialist," it said.

Alpha IVF shares closed up half a sen or 1.89% at 27 sen, valuing the group at RM1.31 billion.
