KUALA LUMPUR (April 27): Steel Hawk Bhd (KL:HAWK) has secured a three-year logistics management services contract from PETRONAS Gas Bhd (KL:PETGAS).

The contract, awarded to its wholly-owned unit Steel Hawk Engineering Sdn Bhd, involves providing logistics support on a call-out basis to support PETRONAS Gas’ ongoing operations, the group said in a statement on Monday.

The contract runs until April 9, 2029. While it carries no fixed value due to its call-out nature, Steel Hawk said it is expected to contribute positively to future earnings and strengthen its base of recurring income.

The group said the award reinforces its growing footprint within the PETRONAS ecosystem, where it has been expanding across multiple operational segments.

Executive director Datuk Sharman Kristy Michael said the contract reflects progress in strengthening its order book and broadening its service offerings.

“Building on this momentum, we will leverage our operational experience, established processes and on-ground capabilities to ensure the smooth execution of logistics activities throughout the contract period. This scope complements our existing capabilities in maintenance and engineering support, allowing us to play a more integrated role in our clients’ operations," he said.

For the financial year ended Dec 31, 2025, Steel Hawk’s net profit rose 8.5% to RM13.73 million from RM12.65 million in the previous year, as revenue surged 55.9% to RM122.26 million from RM78.42 million, driven by higher project execution.

Steel Hawk shares closed one sen or 0.76% lower at 20 sen on Monday, valuing the group at RM98.11 million. PETRONAS Gas fell 12 sen or 0.66% to RM18.06, with a market capitalisation of RM35.74 billion.
