KUALA LUMPUR (April 23): UUE Holdings Bhd (KL:UUE) posted a sharp increase in its fourth-quarter earnings, supported by higher revenue across its core business segments.
For the fourth quarter ended Feb 28, 2026 (4QFY2026), the underground utilities engineering services provider booked a net profit of RM7.64 million, more than double the RM3.44 million registered in the previous year.
Quarterly revenue increased by 40.38% to RM58.89 million versus RM41.95 million previously, mainly driven by stronger contributions from its underground utilities engineering solutions segment, alongside higher sales from its manufacturing and trading of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes business.
No dividend was declared for the fourth quarter under review.
For the full year FY2026, UUE Holding saw a 58.2% decline in net profit to RM9.61 million compared with RM22.97 million previously. This was mainly due to higher administrative expenses and loss recorded from the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) of the photovoltaic segment.
Annual revenue was up by 22.9% to RM209.02 million, largely supported by higher contributions from its underground utilities segment, as well as initial contributions from its solar EPCC business, despite seeing weaker sales in its HDPE segment in Singapore.
UUE Holdings sees a positive outlook for the energy and utilities sectors in both Malaysia and Singapore moving forward, underpinned by infrastructure spending and construction demand.
In Malaysia, it pointed to capital expenditure plans by Tenaga Nasional Bhd (KL:TENAGA), while in Singapore, construction demand is expected to remain supported by major projects such as the Changi Airport Terminal 5.
The group’s current order book stands at RM536.4 million, comprising ongoing and secured projects in both countries.
“The group will continue to adopt a prudent approach in project selection and cost management while actively pursuing new contract opportunities to replenish its order book, in line with its disciplined growth strategy,” said the group in the filing.
Shares of UUE Holdings were down by one sen or 2.3% to 43.5 sen during Thursday’s closing, valuing the group at RM396.9 million.
