KUALA LUMPUR (April 16): AMS Advanced Material Bhd has posted a net profit of RM2.66 million for its first financial quarter ended Dec 31, 2025, supported by its processing operations and improved profit margins.
In a bourse filing on Thursday, the group said revenue came in at RM34.9 million, mainly due to its semiconductor and engineering support industries segment. which made up 45.6% of total sales.
There are no comparative figures as this is the group’s first interim financial report ahead of its ACE Market listing on April 23.
The aerospace segment contributed 20.1% of sales while its automotive and transportation, construction, and processing businesses accounted for the remaining revenue.
However, the group said its construction segment recorded weaker revenue due to tougher market conditions and pricing competition.
AMS said it expects demand from the semiconductor sector to remain supportive, particularly for front-end engineering support work, amid a broader recovery in the industry. The group said it also sees potential growth from marine-related oil and gas projects, supported by stronger customer enquiries and tender activity.
“The group’s ongoing enhancement of its internal processing capabilities is expected to enable it to undertake more complex and higher value-added jobs, further supporting its growth trajectory,” said AMS in the filing.
It seeks to raise about RM32.8 million from its initial public offering. Another RM13.6 million will go towards a private vehicle owned by managing director Keh Teng Yang.
Proceeds from the IPO exercise, with shares priced at 29 sen apiece, will accrue towards setting up a manufacturing facility in Penang, where the group is based. The funds will also go towards expanding its aluminium architectural products segment and setting up a new distribution point in Kuantan, Pahang.
Bank repayments, working capital and listing-related expenses will be covered from the remainder of the proceeds.
