KUALA LUMPUR (April 8): CIMB Bank Bhd and CIMB Islamic Bank Bhd are offering targeted assistance measures to support individual and business customers, including small and medium enterprises, affected by the ongoing Middle East conflict.

This comes as the banks aim to ease immediate financial pressures, support cash flow continuity, and strengthen customer resilience during this period of heightened global uncertainty.

In a statement on Wednesday, the group said eligible customers may benefit from up to six months’ payment relief on loan and financing facilities.

"Amid heightened global uncertainties, it is critical that we continue to support the economy and ensure our customers remain resilient," group chief executive officer Novan Amirudin said in the statement.

Additionally, business customers can access customised restructuring and rescheduling solutions to better manage repayment obligations and sustain operations.

The measures are aimed at providing timely and practical support to help customers manage financial commitments and sustain business.

Customers seeking assistance can apply via the Payment Assistance Programme forms on CIMB’s website, contact their relationship managers, or visit any CIMB branch nationwide.
