KUALA LUMPUR (April 3): Kee Ming Group Bhd (KL:KEEMING) has bagged a RM6.7 million subcontract job for electrical and commissioning works at a hyperscale data centre project in Elmina Business Park.

The subcontract works related to the fit-out, supply and installation of electrical and commissioning & testing works for the installation of data centre halls 1 and 3, including logistics for the project, said the mechanical and electrical engineering firm in a bourse filing.

Under the Letter of Award (LOA), Kee Ming’s wholly-owned subsidiary Kee Ming Electrical Sdn Bhd (KME) is required to submit the construction schedule incorporating all activities involved in the construction, installation, testing and commissioning of the subcontract Works, as well as the project execution plan, to the contractor for approval.

KME said it has accepted an LOA from a third-party contractor, which is involved in providing integrated mechanical and electrical (M&E) solutions, focusing on electrical systems, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) cooling, and energy optimisation.

Kee Ming expects the work to be completed by Dec 31, 2026 and it will contribute positively to the group’s earnings and net assets for the financial year ending March 31, 2027.

The group made its debut on the ACE Market on Feb 12 to raise RM31.5 million from its initial public offering.

Backed by Solarvest Holdings Bhd (KL:SLVEST), Kee Ming provides engineering services, including electrical works and installations, air conditioning, ventilation systems and fire protection systems.

Kee Ming’s share price closed 3.25% or 2.5 sen lower at 74.5 sen, giving it a market capitalisation of RM242 million. The stock has almost doubled from to its IPO price of 38 sen.
