KUALA LUMPUR (April 1): Topmix Bhd (KL:TOPMIX), a surface decorative company, is expanding its footprint in Johor with the proposed acquisition of two parcels of industrial land in Pulai for RM18.97 million.
“The proposed acquisitions provide long-term operational flexibility and support the group’s expansion strategy by securing industrial land in a high-demand growth corridor, [where] availability of similar logistical advances is increasingly limited,” the company said in an exchange filing on Wednesday.
Topmix is buying the freehold vacant lands, measuring 10,117 sq m in total, from Kesas Kenangan Sdn Bhd.
The purchase will be funded through a combination of internally generated funds and bank borrowings. No independent valuation was conducted, as the land is being acquired from an established vendor at prevailing market prices, said Topmix.
The company said the acquisition aligns with its long-term plan to expand operational capacity, strengthen production capabilities and enhance its warehouse infrastructure to meet rising customer demand.
Shares in Topmix closed unchanged at 47 sen on Wednesday, valuing the company at RM183.22 million. The stock has gained more than 2% year to date.
