KUALA LUMPUR (March 11): Oil and gas services firm T7 Global Bhd (KL:T7GLOBAL) said on Wednesday it has secured a two-year contract to provide hydraulic workover services.

The contract calls for a hydraulic workover unit as well as a project management team, offshore supply vessels, pumping services, fishing and wellbore cleanup equipment and services for EnQuest’s Package B3 well campaign, T7 Global said in a statement. The contract started on Feb 19.

The contract value was not disclosed.

Hydraulic workover units are rigs used for intervention, maintenance and repair on both live and emptied wells. EnQuest’s campaign involves workover and plug-and-abandonment operations across multiple wells at various offshore platforms.

The award from EnQuest also comes at a time when the national oil and gas company PETRONAS has indicated an increase in plug-and-abandonment activities to 70 wells in 2026 in its latest activity outlook report.

“We remain optimistic of achieving stronger results in 2026 and the years ahead as industry activity continues to grow,” said T7 Global executive director Tan Kay Zhuin. “We see a robust pipeline of potential plug-and-abandonment wells.”

Last year, T7 Global executed works for three workover projects and 32 plug-and-abandonment wells.
