Feb 10
•    Bloomberg reports that Azam Baki held 17.7 million shares in Velocity Capital Partners Bhd, valued at about RM800,000. This exceeds the RM100,000 limit typically set for civil servants.

Feb 11
•    Azam clarifies he bought the shares in early 2025 and sold them by July 2025 at no profit. He maintains that all transactions were declared through the government’s Human Resource Management Information System.

•    Protesters gather at the MACC headquarters calling for Azam’s resignation, while the wife of the late Tun Daim Zainuddin, Toh Puan Na’imah Abdul Khalid, denies involvement in “feeding” information to Bloomberg for the reports

•    Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohd Khalid Ismail issues an official statement, confirming that the Royal Malaysia Police has launched a high-level investigation into an alleged conspiracy to overthrow the government and sabotage national stability

•    Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil announces that the committee has almost completed its investigation and is expected to submit its final report to the cabinet next week

•    Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim confirms that the proposal to establish an RCI over issues involving the MACC was discussed at the cabinet meeting
